Early Childhood Screening

An Early Childhood Screening is required prior to your child's entrance into public school. It is a  screening is a free and quick look at how your child is growing and developing. Between the ages of 3 ½ and 4, this 1-hour check focuses on your child’s vision, hearing, small and large motor skills, language and thinking skills. Our trained screening staff will guide your child through the process in a game-like activity to qualify these indicators.

This also presents an opportunity for parents to learn about resources available, and to connect with the school.  Screening identifies possible learning or health concerns so that children can get the help they need before starting school.

Remember to print and complete this Screening Registration Packet for your child's appointment. If you are unable to bring these forms with you to your appointment, you will need to arrive at least 15 minutes BEFORE your appointment to give yourself adequate time to complete the forms.
